SwtExport7-94.readme Recall that Sweet-teX is the "original" TeX preprocessor on the Macintosh (dating from 1985-6!). This addition provides tools to facilitate exporting a Sweet-teX typescript in a clean ".tex" form suitable for a journal. The 1992 version (called SweetPub&Comm) --- basically offered transcoder configurations assuring clean ".tex" code. This 1994 version includes a new tool called "defstrip" that automatically constructs a *minimal* auxiliary macro "style" file to support the ".tex" typescript. It works with Plain and AmSTeX. The final version of defstrip will be ".tex" based. In the interim you will need the editor QUEDM. A 20 page article using amsppt.sty might typically have a 4Ko auxiliary macro file, which is normal for an article typed without a preprocessor. More documentation is found in Laurent Siebenmann
